Bertha Deniston Cunningham Scrapbook, 1912-35

Founder Bertha Deniston Cunningham compiled 12 scrapbooks that are prat of Alpha Chi Omega's archives collection. This scrapbook includes notes and clippings about many early Alpha Chi Omega leaders, news of the growing Fraternity, reflections on MacDowell and items related to the 1935 Golden Jubilee.

Marcia DeRocco Photograph, August 1979

Marcia DeRocco (Alpha Chi, Butler University) was a sculptor and painter, earning the Margaret Emma Griffith national fellowship for her work, "Portrait of Marcia," in 1931. Marcia spent two summers studying at the MacDowell Colony after returning from her studies abroad. She won the Award of Achievement in 1962.

Founder Estelle Leonard, Violin Composition, Video 2016

July 24, 1946 founder Estelle Leonard's (Alpha, DePauw University) voice can be heard describing a (violin) piece she composed for a student. This video was created in celebration of MacDowell month 2016. Filmed in Meharry Hall, DePauw University where the musical piece would have been performed.
