The 1985 National Convention was the centennial celebration for Alpha Chi Omega. This booklet was given in the registration packet to every attendee and featured not just the convention program but also the hopes and dreams of the organization for another 100 years.

DePauw Day Keychain, Golden Ticket, 1985 National Convention

DePauw Day was a special excursion during the Centennial Celebration, the 44th National Convention. With more than 1,700 attendees, members had to be led in groups so everyone could enjoy the experience. This keychain was supplied in the registration packet and indicated which group each member would travel with to DePauw that day.

1985 National Convention Play Day, IMS Museum

The 1985 National Convention marked Alpha Chi Omega's 100-year anniversary. The five-day convention packed in a ton of events, trips and meals, and saw more than 1,700 attendees. Play Day was added in the middle of the convention to sight-see in Indianapolis and offer some bonding time with sisters. This particular excursion was to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, home of the Indy 500 race, which was held the month before.

Bus to DePauw Day, 1985 National Convention

The 1985 National Convention was the 100-year celebration for Alpha Chi Omega. The five days were packed with activities, including a special DePauw Day, where attendees packed onto buses in groups and made their way to Greencastle, Indiana, for a tour of campus, a pageant of our founding, a concert by the Founders' Memorial and presentation by National President D'Alice Cochran.

1985 DePauw Day Tour Welcome Letter

History, heritage and purpose of Alpha Chi Omega was the central theme for the 1985 trip to the founding site, DePauw University. This letter walked attendees through the program of the day and instructions on how to keep with their group. One side features the instructions and welcome letter while the other is a map of the campus.
